Dr. Beth Schulz-Butulis

DO, FAAD

Dr. Beth Schulz-Butulis is a board-certified dermatologist with over two decades of clinical and leadership experience in both military and civilian medical settings. She is the founder of Midtown Dermatology, with offices in Raleigh and Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Dr. Schulz-Butulis earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. While at Walter Reed, she also served as Director of the Laser Clinic and held a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). Her military service continued with leadership as Chief of Dermatology at Martin Army Community Hospital.

Her clinical expertise spans general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with advanced training in a broad range of laser technologies, injectable treatments (such as Botox and dermal fillers), chemical peels, and radiofrequency microneedling. She has presented nationally on topics including pediatric dermatology, cosmetic procedures, and complex medical cases, and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles.
Dr. Schulz-Butulis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and the North Carolina Medical Society. She is passionate about delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a welcoming and accessible environment.

She remains engaged in the broader medical community through her affiliations with WakeMed Health & Hospitals and as a founding member of the UNC Health Care Alliance, where she helps promote integrated, collaborative care across North Carolina.
